Remove inner container from the cartridge with a paper clip by pushing the clip through the small hole at the mouth end.

Suck required amount of nicotine fluid into syringe, 0.3ml for M401 and 0.5ml for DSE 901 (Syringe Size 2.5ml , Needle Size: 18 Gauge x 1.5 inch length)

Insert syringe into inner container, make sure you press needle to the bottom of the container, then slowly press on plunger till it looks like the cart wool is soaked, make sure you do not form a pool on top of the wool, if you do just put a tissue on it and absorb excess fluid.
Step 4
Place the container into the cartridge and push back down with a paper clip. Then allow the wick a minute or two to absorb fluid. Alternatively put the silicone stop back on and use when required.
Straight onto Atomizer (a.k.a. Dripping)

Remove the cartridge from the atomizer
Step 2
Drop 2 drops directly onto the wick, thats the arched looking metal part.
You may need to experiemnt here to see what works best for you, you should be getting about 11 - 15 drags per two drops, if not, increase or decrease the amount of drops. With the M401 you will need to drop slowly and allow time to be absorbed before dropping next drop, to avoid fluid running down side of battery.
Step 3
Put cartridge back onto atomizer and smoke. Repeat steps 1 and 2 when vapour diminishes. We suggest that if you are going to be using this method the most, then remove the inner fluid container from the cartridge as it is no longer required.
NOTE: Please do not smoke the cartridge till its bone dry if you see the vapour is diminishing either refill or stop, if you do smoke the cartridge or wick till absolutely dry you run the risk of burning the heating coil and getting a fowl burnt metallic taste from the device, which can sometimes be fixed and other times you will need to replace the atomizer.
